Lacoste Borie Pauillac 2022

Second wine of Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste, located in the prestigious Pauillac appellation on Bordeaux’s Left Bank. It is a Cabernet Sauvignon–dominant blend, with roughly 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, and 5% Cabernet Franc, giving the wine structure and backbone from the Cabernet, while the Merlot provides roundness and plush, ripe fruit. The small proportion of Cabernet Franc adds subtle aromatic lift. On the nose, the wine shows ripe blackcurrant, blackberry, and plum, layered with notes of cedar, tobacco, and graphite. There are also hints of spice and a touch of earthy minerality, reflecting the gravelly Pauillac terroir. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, with silky yet firm tannins supporting concentrated dark fruit. Despite the richness, it maintains freshness and balance, and the finish is long, polished, and harmonious.
