Maison Louis Jadot, founded in 1859, is one of Burgundy’s most respected producers, known for making consistent, high-quality wines across different appellations.
Louis Jadot Chablis is a well-known dry white wine from the northern part of Burgundy in France, produced by the historic house Maison Louis Jadot. It represents a classic expression of Chablis, a region famous for its pure, mineral-driven Chardonnay wines.
Chablis sits in the coolest part of Burgundy, where vineyards grow on limestone-rich soils (Kimmeridgian clay). These soils are packed with fossilized marine life, which contributes to the wine’s signature flinty, mineral character. Chablis wines are very different from richer, oak-heavy Chardonnay styles you might find elsewhere—they focus on freshness, precision, and terroir (sense of place).
