Château Ducru-Beaucaillou reveals a commemorative label designed exclusively for the 2020 vintage, its tercentenary vintage. At once elegant and sophisticated, decisively modern and audaciously disruptive, the new design nonetheless maintains continuity with the estate’s history and centuries-old values, striking a magnificent balance between the classic and the contemporary in an expression of joy and liberty.

Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou is a renowned Bordeaux estate in the Saint-Julien appellation, classified as a Second Growth (Deuxième Cru) in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification. The name “Ducru-Beaucaillou” reflects both the history and terroir of the estate: Ducru comes from a former owner, while Beaucaillou literally means “beautiful pebbles” in French, referring to the gravelly soils that dominate the vineyards and contribute to excellent drainage and concentration in the grapes.

Blend: 81 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 19 % Merlot.

Tasting Notes: Rich, inviting nose of dark fruits, predominantly blackcurrant and blackberry, layered with cedar, graphite, and subtle spice notes that add depth and complexity. Hints of tobacco, forest floor, and floral undertones emerge as the wine breathes, reflecting the estate’s classic Saint-Julien character.
